MELBOURNE defender James Frawley will be sidelined for up to a month with a hamstring injury, putting the remainder of his season in doubt.
Frawley sustained the injury in the humiliating 122-point drubbing at the hands of North Melbourne at Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
"Scans (on Tuesday) showed some minor damage in his hamstring and he’ll now go into the hamstring program and we expect him to miss three or four weeks," football manager Josh Mahoney told melbournefc.com.au.
The Demons backman previously missed two games with a hamstring stain he suffered against Hawthorn in round 10.
They were against Collingwood and St Kilda. This time he faces missing games against Greater Western Sydney, Gold Coast, Fremantle and Adelaide.
The Demons, however, may welcome back Colin Garland for this week's game against the Giants.
The club's top ranked defender in the Official AFL Player Ratings, brought to you by Vero, missed the game against the Kangaroos with an ankle injury.
Midfielder Jordie McKenzie (concussion) is also a chance to return for the Demons.
Veteran ruckman Mark Jamar is two weeks away as he battles a foot injury, while Michael Evans will likely miss another three games with a similar complaint.
