RICHMOND'S boom recruit Tom Lynch has undergone further knee surgery but the Tigers insist it was merely a "minor medical procedure" aimed at accelerating his recovery.
As the second day of the NAB AFL Draft unfolded, Richmond issued a statement revealing the power forward had received the operation on Thursday after a "routine" consultation with his surgeon.
FULL FIXTURE Every round, every game
The procedure would improve the range of motion in Lynch's knee and remove some scarring, the Tigers said.
The club expects the 26-year-old to start running within 10 days.
The former Gold Coast co-captain, who joined the 2017 premier on a lucrative seven-year contract, first went under the knife in July after suffering a season-ending posterior cruciate ligament injury.

However, there was no cause for alarm, according to Richmond football manager Neil Balme.
"There was no issue with Tom’s injury, however we were given an option to progress his rehab, which will allow him to start running slightly sooner than expected," he said.
"We expect Tom will be running in the next week to 10 days, and he will ramp up his training loads again after the Christmas break."
