AFL CEO Andrew Demetriou will face the media on Tuesday, a day after the League advised Essendon coach James Hird he would be given further time to answer conduct unbecoming charges.
Demetriou will speak at the launch of the TAC's 'Wipe off 5' weekend alongside Carlton star Chris Judd.
The AFL boss is expected to take questions on the latest twist in the Essendon supplements scandal.
Hird, assistant coach Mark Thompson, Essendon football manager Danny Corcoran and club doctor Bruce Reid were scheduled to front the AFL Commission at its scheduled meeting next Monday to answer charges relating to the supplements scandal that has dominated the 2013 season.
All four men are understood to have been granted extra time to prepare their defence.
AFL.com.au will carry Demetriou's press conference live from about 12pm.
