FANS will be back in Queensland this weekend as Brisbane and Gold Coast both plan to host 2000 supporters for their respective clashes.
The Lions and Suns confirmed the easing of COVID-19 restrictions would see a small crowd the Gabba on Saturday night and Metricon Stadium on Sunday.
Of the 2000 seats available at the Gabba for the Lions' clash with West Coast, 1250 will be given to fans who pledged their membership to the club during football's shutdown period via an online ballot system.
"Our fans are among the most passionate and loyal in the competition and this is a great result for them," Lions chief executive Greg Swann said.
"They stuck by us during tough times caused by this pandemic and to be able to repay that faith is very important to us.
"We thank the Government, Queensland Health and the Gabba who did a lot of work to make this a reality.
"We encourage our members who want to be the first to watch the Lions play live this season to enter into the ballot."
The club will allocate 400 tickets to corporate partners and sponsors, 100 for internal staff, 100 to the Queensland cricketers' club and 50 tickets to the Eagles.
There will also be 100 tickets up for sale.
The Suns will announce their ticketing plans in coming hours but chief executive Mark Evans said the club would prioritise members and corporate partners within its allocation of 2000 seats for the contest with Adelaide.
"We have been planning for this announcement but we need to act fast to provide a fair and easy process for our members, as well as allowing the time needed to allocate and issue tickets," Evans said.
"We hope our members understand the urgency.
"Obviously some people will be disappointed they can’t attend this Sunday - and we share that disappointment - but we are confident crowd numbers will safely increase over the coming weeks and we will do our best to look after our valued members."
