The Power sit clear on top of the ladder, with a 29-point win over Fremantle putting Hinkley's side two points clear of Collingwood in second.

Port Adelaide trailed at quarter-time, but a jaw-dropping second term paved the way for a 10.10 (70) to 6.5 (41) victory.

The forward trio of Charlie Dixon (two goals), Justin Westhoff (two goals) and Todd Marshall (one goal) clunked everything as Port Adelaide held the Dockers scoreless and managed nine of their own shots on goal in the second term.

Scott Lycett (37 hit-outs, four clearances) Travis Boak (26 disposals) and Ollie Wines (25 disposals) starred as Port Adelaide racked up 22 inside 50's to Fremantle's two for the quarter.

A hamstring injury to Xavier Duursma was the only sour point for the Power, as the 19-year-old awaits to find out how long he'll be spending on the sidelines.

The real test for Port will come over the next two weeks with mouth-watering clashes against West Coast and Brisbane to come.

Fremantle could be staring down the barrel of a 0-4 start when it takes on a rampant Gold Coast next Saturday.

Hogan's silent return
Fremantle forward Jesse Hogan's first game in 365 days loomed as one of the most exciting propositions heading into the match. The key forward hardly had the delivery he would have hoped for and finished the match without a goal. Hogan finished with nine possessions and will be better for the run in the long term.

Port Adelaide's has got its mix of talls right
The Dockers were slick early, but Port Adelaide's giants took hold of the game once the rain started pouring in the second term. Scott Lycett was outstanding in the ruck, while the forward line looked dynamic with Dixon as the spearhead. Aside from some early signs from Fremantle's Matt Taberner, the defensive stalwarts in Tom Clurey and Tom Jonas were rarely beaten.

The best and worst of Mots
Steven Motlop was outstanding with two goals and 24 disposals against the Crows in the Showdown last week, but he was nowhere to be seen in round three. The conditions didn't suit a player of his skillset, but with four disposals for the match it was a dirty day for half-forward.
