PORT Adelaide forward Aidyn Johnson will make his AFL debut in Friday night's clash with Carlton at Adelaide Oval.
The 19-year-old comes into the Power's side for defender Hamish Hartlett, who was a late scratching with a quad injury.
"Unfortunately Hamish hasn't come up and we're going to play Aidyn Johnson in his first game," Power coach Ken Hinkley told 5AA.
"He's an exciting player, he's a forward who puts on an enormous amount of pressure.
"I love seeing young players get their opportunity and get a chance to show what they can do."
Johnson was a third round selection by the Power and No. 45 overall in the 2015 NAB AFL Draft.
Hamstring injuries restricted him to just five games in the SANFL last year, but he showed some good form in the JLT Community Series this year.
Johnson was suspended for the Power's round one game this season for being in the passenger's seat when team-mate Jarman Impey crashed into four parked cars and fled the scene in December last year.
Hartlett has played three of the Power's first four games, including the two tough losses to Adelaide and Greater Western Sydney in the past fortnight.
"We've had a couple of short breaks and a couple of heavy, contested games of football, and you don't always get everyone to come up the way you like," Hinkley said.
"With a player like Hamish, you give him as much time as possible, but the risk is not worth it.
"We would be horrified if we played him tonight and lost him for six weeks."
The Blues are unchanged from the team named on Thursday night.
Midfield star Patrick Cripps has passed a fitness test, while winger Cameron Polson will make his senior debut.
Polson is one of seven teenagers who will play for the Blues in their first game in South Australia since 2014.
