Adelaide Crows

PLAYER INJURY ESTIMATED RETURN
 Rory Atkins  Shoulder  4-6 weeks
 Darcy Fogarty  Shoulder  Test
 Jordan Gallucci  Achilles  Season
 Will Hamill  Concussion  Test
 Wayne Milera  Foot  7-8 weeks
 Rory Sloane  Ankle  Test
 Tyson Stengle  Suspension  1 game
 Patrick Wilson  Shoulder  TBC
Updated: Monday, June 29

Early prognosis

It was another bruising weekend for the Crows in their loss to Brisbane, with captain Sloane again left sore with an ankle issue. He played on after rolling his ankle in the second quarter. Youngster Hamill was concussed against the Lions so will be tested this week before being passed fit, while Fogarty was a late withdrawal after hurting his shoulder at training. Gallucci's season is over after requiring an Achilles reconstruction following a light training run last Friday. - Callum Twomey

Brisbane Lions

PLAYER INJURY ESTIMATED RETURN
 Marcus Adams  Foot  3-4 weeks
 Stefan Martin  Hamstring   Test
 Dayne Zorko  Calf  2-3 weeks
 Updated: Tuesday, June 30

Early prognosis

After sitting out the previous week with Achilles soreness, Zorko strained his calf in Sunday's win over Adelaide. Martin has increased his running loads after two weeks out with a hamstring and will need to prove his fitness at main training on Thursday in order to tackle the Power. Adams still has pain in his foot, with the Lions conceding it's taking longer than expected. He is yet to return to running. - Mitch Cleary

Carlton

PLAYER INJURY ESTIMATED RETURN
 Charlie Curnow  Knee  Season
 Paddy Dow  Knee  1-2 weeks
 Brodie Kemp  Knee  Season
 Matthew Kreuzer  Foot  6-8 weeks
 Caleb Marchbank  Knee  2 weeks
 Harry McKay  Ribs  Test
 Nic Newman  Knee  Season
Jack Silvagni    Ribs  1 week
 Updated: Tuesday, June 30

Early prognosis

The five-day break due to the club's fixture with St Kilda being rearranged means Silvagni is now little chance to recover from a fractured rib and a bruised lung. McKay was expected to recover from soreness, but similarly the shortened break won't help his chances. He'll likely go through a fitness test on Wednesday. Zac Fisher should be available for selection having got through a scratch match unscathed after battling a syndesmosis injury. - Riley Beveridge

Collingwood

PLAYER INJURY ESTIMATED RETURN
 Dayne Beams  Mental health  Indefinite
 Levi Greenwood  Knee  2-3 weeks
 Jeremy Howe   Knee  Indefinite
 Tom Langdon  Knee  Indefinite
 Ben Reid  Calf  1-2 weeks
Updated: Tuesday, June 30

Early prognosis

The club has elected to send Howe for surgery following a ruptured PCL sustained on Friday night. Don't expect to see him for months, rather than weeks. Reid is closing in on a return, while Adam Treloar has recovered from a calf issue and should be available for selection. Langdon is also said to be making good progress from his knee injury. - Riley Beveridge

Essendon Bombers

PLAYER INJURY ESTIMATED RETURN
 Patrick Ambrose  Foot  TBC
 Tom Cutler  Calf  Test
 Joe Daniher  Groin  Indefinite
 Sam Draper  Knee  1 week
 Noah Gown  Foot  Test
 Dyson Heppell  Ankle   12-16 weeks
 Tom Hird  Foot  Season
 Lachie Johnson  Knee  8-10 weeks
 Conor McKenna  Illness  Available
 Zach Merrett  Suspension  1 game
 Kobe Mutch  Wrist  2-3 weeks
 James Stewart  Quarantine  1 week
Updated: Tuesday, June 30

Early prognosis

Ambrose suffered a Lisfranc injury in his foot in the Bombers’ scratch match last week that is requiring further scans, but could see the defender out for a period of time. Cutler was a late withdrawal against the Blues with a calf complaint so faces another week on the track to prove his fitness. McKenna, however, will be back at the club and is available to face Collingwood on Friday night. Daniher is progressing with his recovery from his groin injury, but is still not quite ready to a return to the field. Merrett's suspension will leave the Bombers without two of their premier midfielders against an impressive Collingwood outfit this Friday night at the MCG. - Callum Twomey

Fremantle

PLAYER INJURY ESTIMATED RETURN
 Blake Acres  Calf  Test
 Brennan Cox  Hip  1-3 weeks
 Nat Fyfe  Hamstring  1-2 weeks
 Stefan Giro   Ankle  3-5 weeks
 Joel Hamling  Ankle  TBA
 Liam Henry  Knee  1 week
 Alex Pearce  Ankle  TBA
 Sam Sturt  Ankle  Test
 Sam Switkowski  Back  TBA
Updated: Monday, June 29

Early prognosis

Fyfe is a chance to return in a blockbuster round seven Derby against West Coast after scans confirmed he will miss just 1-2 weeks with a hamstring injury. Sturt was only last week listed as 3-5 weeks away but is a test for this Sunday's clash with the Crows after his rapid recovery from an ankle injury. Acres could make his Dockers debut this weekend, while Cox's hip injury will keep him out for up to three weeks. Star defender Pearce (ankle) is out of his moon boot and walking around, but the news isn't as positive for fellow key back Hamling, with investigations continuing into his own ankle injury. - Chris Correia

Geelong Cats

PLAYER INJURY ESTIMATED RETURN
 Tom Atkins  Ribs  Test
 Oscar Brownless  Shoulder  TBC
 Josh Jenkins  Back  1-2 weeks
 Stefan Okunbor  Achilles  Indefinite
 Rhys Stanley  Knee   2-4 weeks
 Tom Stewart  Shoulder  4-8 weeks
 Jake Tarca  Quad  TBC
Updated: Tuesday, June 30

Early prognosis

Atkins appeared incredibly sore in the second half of Sunday's win over Melbourne and is nursing bruised ribs. Stewart had surgery on a fractured collarbone on Monday sustained out of the same game and will miss at least the next month of football. Stanley won't be seen in the next fortnight but has started to begin running after spraining his medial ligament in round three. Jenkins has started core work after his back complaint and will be pushing to return to scratch match level in coming weeks. - Mitch Cleary

Gold Coast Suns

PLAYER INJURY ESTIMATED RETURN
 George Horlin-Smith  Foot  5 weeks
 Anthony Miles  Hamstring  Available
 Rory Thompson  Knee  6 weeks
 Mitch Riordan  Knee  Season
Updated: Monday, June 29

Early prognosis

Things are looking good for the Suns on a number of fronts, including on the injury list with Miles fit for selection this week after overcoming his hamstring strain. Unfortunately the news isn't as good for key defender Thompson, who hasn't played since 2018. Thompson required surgery on his knee last week that will see him sidelined for six weeks, however it is not the same knee that required a reconstruction last year and ruled him out for the season. - Callum Twomey

GWS Giants

PLAYER INJURY ESTIMATED RETURN
 Isaac Cumming  Hamstring  10-12 weeks
 Phil Davis  Hamstring  Test
 Matt Flynn  Knee  Available
 Tom Hutchesson  Hamstring   2-3 weeks
 Sam Reid  Calf  4 weeks
 Tim Taranto   Shoulder  2-3 weeks
 Zac Williams  Hamstring  4 weeks
Updated: Monday, June 29

Early prognosis

It was bad news for the Giants on Monday after scans revealed defensive playmaker Williams would miss a month with a hamstring tear. The Giants won't be able to bring in Cumming as his replacement either, with the fellow half-back ruled out for up to 12 weeks with a serious hamstring strain. Davis will face a test this week after suffering hamstring tightness last week against Collingwood, while Taranto remains a few weeks off being available but will be a massive boost when back. - Callum Twomey

Hawthorn

PLAYER INJURY ESTIMATED RETURN
Luke Breust  Fractured jaw  4-5 weeks
 Will Golds  Knee  Season
 Dan Howe  Foot  Indefinite
 Jarman Impey  Knee  3 weeks
 Changkuoth Jiath  Hamstring  1 week
 Josh Morris  Concussion  Test
 Jon Patton  Foot  Test
 Mathew Walker  Ankle  1 week
Updated: Tuesday, June 30

Early prognosis

Breust fractured his jaw tackling North Melbourne ruckman Todd Goldstein in the third quarter of Sunday's game. He played the game out but will now miss the next few weeks. Patton was a late withdrawal for that match with a blister on one of his feet but moved freely at training on Tuesday. Paul Puopolo (calf tightness) was an emergency after being a late out the previous week. Impey continues to ramp up his training as he edges closer to a long-awaited return, while Dan Howe is 12 weeks along after plantar fascia surgery. Marc McGowan

 Marty Hore  Quad/Toe  Indefinite
 Kade Kolodjashnij  Concussion  Indefinite
 Harry Petty  Groin  Indefinite
 Aaron Nietschke  Knee  Season
Updated: Tuesday, June 30

Early prognosis

The Demons reported ruckman Braydon Preuss being as many as four weeks away only last week, but he's made swift progress since and will play in a scratch match this weekend. There were no fresh injuries, with Hore and Petty undergoing operations this week ahead of long recovery periods. Marc McGowan

 Jack Ziebell  Hamstring  Test
Updated: Tuesday, June 30

Early prognosis

Ziebell is pushing to play after finishing Sunday's loss to Hawthorn on the bench with ice on his left hamstring but the skipper is in doubt. Tarrant left the field with sore ribs against the Hawks before returning and playing the match out. The in-form defender had a precautionary scan but is expected to be fit to face the Western Bulldogs on Saturday night. Majak Daw returned from his pectoral rupture in North's weekend scratch match but Tyson sat out a second week.  - Marc McGowan

Port Adelaide

PLAYER INJURY ESTIMATED RETURN
 Ryan Burton   Knee  Test
 Willem Drew  Foot  3-5 weeks
 Xavier Duursma  Hamstring  2-3 weeks
Updated: Tuesday, June 30

Early prognosis

The club is hopeful Burton will put his name in the selection frame this week, having missed the last fortnight due to a sprained knee. Duursma is at least another fortnight away from recovering from his hamstring issue. - Riley Beveridge

Richmond

PLAYER INJURY ESTIMATED RETURN
 David Astbury  Knee  4-5 weeks
 Josh Caddy  Glute  Test
 Noah Cumberland  ACL  Season
 Will Martyn  Foot  2-4 weeks
 Bigoa Nyuon  Shoulder  3-5 weeks
Updated: Tuesday, June 30

Early prognosis

Astbury leaves a big hole in the Tigers’ back six with the defender undergoing knee surgery to remove a loose fragment of articular cartilage from behind the patella. Caddy suffered a very minor glute strain but is expected to be fit to face Melbourne on Sunday. - Ben Sutton

St Kilda

PLAYER INJURY ESTIMATED RETURN
Luke Dunstan  Pectoral muscle  10-12 weeks
 Jarryn Geary  Hamstring  Test
 Jade Gresham  Eye  Test
 Zak Jones  Hamstring  1-2 weeks
Updated: Tuesday, June 30

Early prognosis

Scans revealed no major damage on Jones' hamstring concern, but he's been all but ruled out of Thursday's date with the Blues off a five-day break. Gresham's eye is coming down after it ballooned in the final quarter of Saturday's win over Richmond and he is expected to play. Dunstan tore his pectoral muscle in last week's scratch match against the Tigers' reserves, while Geary is likely to sit out again. Darragh Joyce and Oscar Clavarino will return from injury to play in a scratch match this weekend and Jimmy Webster will play after he was managed last week with soreness. - Mitch Cleary

Sydney Swans

PLAYER INJURY ESTIMATED RETURN
 Kaiden Brand  Ankle  2 weeks
 Lance Franklin  Hamstring  TBC
 Michael Knoll  Knee  3-5 weeks
 Tom McCartin  Concussion  Test
 Sam Naismith  Knee  Season
 Sam Reid  Calf  2 weeks
Updated: Tuesday, June 30

Early prognosis

Naismith is the biggest news here. The hard-luck big man ruptured the ACL in his right knee for a second time in Thursday's loss to the Western Bulldogs. He will see a surgeon next week and his season is over, after he just returned from a hamstring setback. Reid has resumed main training but is about a fortnight from returning, while Brand will miss at least one more game. McCartin is on track to return in round five but the Swans are being cautious. Joel Amartey has recovered from his hamstring injury and played in the Swans' scratch match on Friday against GWS. - Marc McGowan

 Jeremy McGovern  Ankle  Test
 Mitch O'Neill  Back  Indefinite
 Will Schofield  Suspension  1 match
 Daniel Venables  Concussion  Season
Updated: Tuesday, June 30

Early prognosis

McGovern will need to clear main training on Wednesday to prove he's ready to return after missing last week with a sprained ankle. The Eagles are confident Hutchings has turned a corner after knee troubles, but remains at around a month away. Jamieson is available for scratch match minutes this week and could be joined by Johnson. - Mitch Cleary

Western Bulldogs

PLAYER INJURY ESTIMATED RETURN
 Josh Dunkley  Ankle  5-7 weeks
 Taylor Duryea  Quad  2-3 weeks
 Riley Garcia  Knee  Indefinite
Lachie Hunter  Club suspension  1 game
 Lin Jong  Achilles  Test
 Sam Lloyd  Collarbone  4-6 weeks
 Aaron Naughton  Ankle  6-8 weeks
 Easton Wood  Quad  Test
Updated: Tuesday, June 30

Early prognosis

Gun forward Naughton joins Dunkley on the long road back from a syndesmosis injury. Lloyd will miss at least a month after breaking his collarbone. The good news is Wood's quad has healed faster than expected, as he and Cavarra lined up in a scratch match against the Magpies last Friday. Jong will have to prove his fitness after missing round four with Achilles soreness. - Jourdan Canil
