The Carlton Football Club is pleased to announce that Kade Simpson has agreed to a two-year deal that will see him continue his career at Carlton for a further two seasons.

"It is an exciting time to be involved with the Carlton Football Club, with an exciting young list we will continue to improve and I am certainly looking forward to being a part of the future here at Carlton," Kade Simpson said.

A 4th round selection (45 overall), Kade was Carlton's first pick in the 2002 National Draft. He is scheduled to play his 49th AFL game this weekend.

"We are pleased that Kade Simpson has agreed to continue his career with the Carlton Football Club. He has played nearly 50 games and is an important player in the Carlton midfield. His development was recognised at the end of last season when he was selected in the International Rules Team and he is now part of the leadership group at Carlton," CEO Greg Swann said.

"It is very positive news and with our membership now over 32,000 we hope this encourages more supporters to join as members to ensure we break the membership record of 33,534 set in 2005," Swann added.
