WEST Coast concedes an increased training load on Wednesday may have contributed to captain Luke Shuey's hamstring injury on Saturday.
The skipper finished the 34-point win over Sydney on the bench after limping from the ground late in the first quarter at Metricon Stadium.

He is now expected to miss next week's date with Adelaide and the Derby encounter on the Eagles' return to Perth against Fremantle in round seven.
"Probably a 1-2 (week injury), that's what we've got in front of us. It's disappointing for him, it was the first quarter as well and hopefully he's OK," coach Adam Simpson said.
"We elevated our intensity at training and maybe that's what happens, we had some sore boys towards the end of the game.
"We were pushing a couple of buttons throughout the week to try and work out what was going on and we might've pushed them pretty hard on Wednesday at training."
The Eagles got their season back on track after three consecutive losses thanks largely to a four-minute burst that delivered three goals midway through the third term.
"We've been missing that for three weeks," Simpson said.
"Good intensity, pressure on the game, field position through the contest, all the basic stuff where the game is at the moment.
"We didn't adjust (last three weeks) and (our) effort overall was there (today).
"I thought our younger players who we brought in were really important for the spirit and passion for the game, Jake Waterman, Oscar Allen, (Jamaine) Jones, (Liam) Duggan, (Jackson) Nelson, (Tom) Cole, there was a glimpse of our future as we keep transitioning."
Ruckman Nic Naitanui dominated the hitout count (39 v Sydney's 10) against Swans rookie Hayden McLean and back-up Aliir Aliir.
It allowed the Eagles to capitalise on his impact with a clearance dominance (36-23) in the second half, leaving the Swans with few options.
Given all three recognised Swans ruckmen Sam Naismith, Callum Sinclair and Michael Knoll are out injured, coach John Longmire said he would have to work with what he's got.
"It's change, but that's OK, we've just got to get some height back," Longmire said.
"We don't think he'll (Sinclair) play next week, either, so he'll be a couple of weeks.
"(Defender) Kaiden Brand might be a chance but it doesn't look as though there's any on the immediate horizon. Reidy's (Sam Reid) back training but still a few weeks away.
"We'll find a way and method to work through it and be competitive with it, that's what we have to do, we have to find a way."
The Swans travel to the Gabba to play Richmond next week before a home match against Gold Coast in round seven.
