CARLTON skipper Marc Murphy has been cleared of any structural damage following a collision during Friday night's loss to Port Adelaide.
Murphy was substituted out of the game midway through the second term after sliding to take a mark and hitting his head hard on the turf as Port's Cam O'Shea dived in to contest the ball.
The midfielder was taken to hospital for precautionary scans immediately after the incident but has since been cleared of any structural damage.
"He got the clear of anything structural or major, so it's just a concussion," teammate Andrew Walker told ABC radio on Saturday.
Murphy will be monitored next week and will need to pass a concussion test to be available for the Blues' final home and away game against Essendon.
