Coach Ken Hinkley said he had little idea of the extent of each, but conceded both would be questionable to play St Kilda at Adelaide Oval on Saturday night.
"We'll assess properly once we get back (to Adelaide), but he (Burton) gave his quad a little nick, so he'll obviously be in some doubt," Hinkley said.
"Mots rolled his ankle, we won't know much about that until we get back as well."
Aside from the injuries, Hinkley was all smiles after Robbie Gray's heroics kept his team at the top of the competition.
The Port coach said he wasn't sure if Gray would kick the goal from the tight 45m angle, but he was "bloody pleased he did".

"I think it was just incredibly brave," Hinkley said of the win.
"The way we fought it out as a footy team, there's something about the team at the moment and the boys' belief in themselves and their resilience.
"We're two down, back-to-back travel games, without making a big deal of it, we're up at 5(am) and we're on the plane.
"There were a few things going against us and then, Robbie Gray."
Hinkley says Port deserve to be called a good team.
THE LADDER Where is your team sitting?
"The body of work has been pretty consistent, and I think that's why you get to be talked about as a good team. You don't keep it for more than a week though," he said.
Hinkley: 'Bloody pleased he kicked it'
Ken Hinkley admits he wasn't sure whether Port superstar Robbie Gray would convert his set shot to win the game, but was over the moon after seeing his 'champion' step up
Carlton coach David Teague said although he was disappointed in losing, he was proud of his team's fight.
The Blues conceded the game's first three goals and at a number of stages were on the ropes.

"I thought our effort and our intent and the way went about it was good," Teague said.
"I thought we were off in a few areas today. That was the disappointing thing to get so close.
"I thought our ball use was a little bit off and our defence sat back a little bit too much."
