BACKS
Heath Shaw (Collingwood)
– Despite his side's lossto Adelaide, cappedoff an outstanding home-and-away season and was his side's best on Fridaynight. Won 28 disposals at a 93 per cent efficiency rate out of defence.

MalMichael (Essendon) – Produced an underratedperformance on in-form West Coast forward Quinten Lynch. Lynch entered the matchwith 12 goals from his previous two outings, and Michael held him to just onegoal.

AdamHunter (West Coast) – Played a cracking matchagainst Essendon and was his side's best player, providing great attack andfinishing with 30 disposals and eight marks.

HALF-BACKS
Heath Scotland (Carlton)
– Finished thehome-and-away season with career-best disposals (41) off half-back against Melbourne. Clearly Carlton's top performerin its final match for the year.

NathanBock (Adelaide) – Instrumental in helping Adelaidesecure a finals berth, Bock won 25 disposals as he held Collingwood forwardTravis Cloke to just 10 touches and one behind.   

TravisJohnstone (Melbourne) – Notched up career-bestfigures and a round-high 42 touches – including 35 kicks – against Carlton witha first-class performance off half-back.

CENTRES
Andrew McLeod (Adelaide)
– Continued his fine season with a best-on-ground performanceagainst Collingwood playing wing/half-back. Had 24 disposals and sent the ballinside 50 five times.

ShaunBurgoyne (Port Adelaide) – After a best-on-ground display against Geelong the previous round, turned it onagain against Fremantle, finishing with 20 touches and four goals.

AdamGoodes (Sydney) – Goodes' second half of the seasonhas been among the best in the competition. Against the Hawks he had 27touches, seven inside 50s and five clearances.

HALF-FORWARDS
Ryan O'Keefe (Sydney)
– Played a key role in the 72-point win against Hawthorn, bootingthree goals. Also won 21 disposals – including nine contested – and took sevenmarks.

NickRiewoldt (St Kilda) – Capped off an underratedseason with another first-class performance. Kicked three goals, sent the ballinside 50 eight times and gained 19 disposals.

RowanJones (West Coast) – Played his best match of the season against Essendon, winning 30disposals, seven inside 50s and booting three goals. Also had a hand in fourscoring assists.

FORWARDS
Russell Robertson (Melbourne)
– The out-of-contract Demon strutted his stuff in the best possiblefashion, booting six goals against Carltonto finish the year with 42 goals against his name. Took 10 marks – including atrademark Robbo hanger.  

ScottLucas (Essendon) – Had arguably the greatestindividual quarter performance of 2007, booting a remarkable seven goals (hefinished with eight for the match) in the final term against West Coast toalmost give Kevin Sheedy and James Hird a fairytale finale.

Jonathan Brown (BrisbaneLions) – Booted seven goals against Geelong to complete awonderful season – particularly in the second half, and secure his firstColeman Medal with 77 goals.

FOLLOWERS
Brad Ottens (Geelong)
– An outstanding performer in the ruck and up forward, Ottensfinished with four goals to his name, along with 17 hit-outs. Also took eightmarks and laid six tackles.

KaneCornes (Port Adelaide) – Enters the finals as one of the players of the year, havingamassed more disposals (613) than any player in 2007. In round 22, Cornes had31 touches and six tackles in another A-grade display.

BrentHarvey (Kangaroos) – ‘Boomer’ has been pivotal inhis side's top-four finish and ended the home-and-away season with anotherexcellent performance, racking up 27 touches and three goals.

INTERCHANGE
Hamish McIntosh (Kangaroos)
– One of the greatimprovers of 2007, McIntosh was dominant in the ruck against the WesternBulldogs, winning 23 hit-outs. Also had 18 touches and sent the ball inside 50 on10 occasions.

CoreyEnright (Geelong) – So good was Enright in round 22 that he lost his pants in a tackland still won a possession in his Speedos. The underrated Cat won 27 furthertouches against the Brisbane Lions in another fine display.

NigelLappin (Brisbane Lions) – Lappin's return to theelite level after battling career-threatening injuries has been nothing shortof exceptional and he finished the season on a fine note, collecting agame-high 33 disposals through the midfield against Geelong.

BradJohnson (Western Bulldogs) – The season finished indisappointment for the Dogs, but skipper Johnson’s efforts can’t be questioned.Landed five goals to finish with 59 goals in 2007 – the best effort from asmall/mid-sized forward.
