THE preliminaries are over. The conjecture is almost at an end. The 2009 Toyota AFL premiership season is about to begin.

From Monday, afl.com.au will provide you with the latest word on each of the 16 clubs as they head into the home and away games with our season previews.

Each preview gives a club snapshot including last year’s performance, the key personnel, which faces are new, and who has walked through the exit door.

There is also a look at how your club fares with the fixture and a projection of what is likely for the year ahead.

Matt Burgan also provides his player ratings, and uses the scores to rank the club lists from one through to 16.

You will also get the inside word from your coach or assistant coach on just where the team is aiming in 2009.
