RICHMOND has received a welcome boost with promising youngsters Reece Conca, Dylan Grimes and Brad Helbig signing contract extensions that tie them to the club until the end of 2013.
Conca, who was recruited by the Tigers with pick six in the 2010 NAB AFL Draft, has been particularly impressive this season, playing in all but one of Richmond's matches and averaging 16 possessions.
The 18-year-old also won a NAB Rising Star nomination in round nine.
In his second year at the club, Grimes showed his potential to be a top key defender early in the season, but the 20-year-old has been unable to play since suffering a bad hamstring injury in the Dreamtime at the 'G match against Essendon in May.
Helbig, 19, who was drafted along with Conca last year, has played 10 games this season and has impressed the Richmond hierarchy with his attack on the ball and long kicking.
"We're delighted to have re-signed this trio of young players, who we believe will develop into an integral part of our playing group," Tigers football manager Craig Cameron said.
"They possess the necessary qualities, both on and off the field, to play a key role in the team's rise over the next few years."
