NORTH Melbourne defender Daniel Pratt has decided to fight his level two rough conduct charge at the AFL tribunal tonight.
Pratt was cited for an incident involving Collingwood’s Josh Fraser and could have accepted a one-match plea due to his clean record. His case will be heard at 5pm AEST.
Melbourne's Matthew Whelan has accepted a one-match ban for striking Carlton’s Brendan Fevola during last Sunday’s match at the MCG.
Whelan had been charged by the match review panel with a level three striking offence against the Blues' forward during the third quarter.
The defender was offered a two-match sanction that was reduced to one game with an early plea.
In the other matters, Eagle Chad Fletcher accepted a $1950 fine for making negligent contact with umpire Hayden Ryan during the third quarter of his side’s clash with Port Adelaide.
St Kilda’s Leigh Montagna and Bomber Andrew Lovett also accepted $900 fines after they were charged with wrestling each other during the three-quarter-time break of their game on Friday night.
Other players assessed but not charged included Adelaide’s Brett Burton, Essendon skipper Matthew Lloyd, Geelong’s Josh Hunt and Fremantle’s Jeff Farmer.
