The Luke Power name will long feature in the Lions’ record books, such was his contribution to the Club.

So while deserving words of tribute continue to flow freely in honour of the Lions favourite son, we also take a look at his impressive collection of statistics which also speak volumes for his decorate career.

2 - Number of times Power has been awarded the Lions’ Best Finals Player. He won it first back in the premiership year of 2003 and then again in the Lions’ most recent Final appearance in 2009.

3 - Goals kicked in the 2001 AFL Grand Final. Power was the Lions’ leading goal-kicker in the team’s historic win which saw the AFL premiership cup travel to Queensland for the first time.

5 - The Draft Pick the Lions received from Fremantle in exchange for midfielder Adrian Fletcher, which was ultimately used to secure Oakleigh Chargers recruit Luke Power at the 1997 AFL National Draft.

6 - The guernsey number worn in each of Power’s 282 AFL matches. He would go on to play more games in that particular number than any other player in Club history (see table below). Coincidentally, Power’s personal best bag of goals is also six while he ranks 6th on the Club’s all-time goal list.

8 - Number of consecutive years that Power has finished inside the Lions’ Club Champion top five.

10 - Total amount of senior games that Power has missed over the past decade (2002-2011). It is a true testament to his supreme durability.

19 - Total number of Finals matches played - including four AFL Grand Finals.

28 - Total number of pre-season matches. Power has long held the Lions’ record for most pre-season games played since the 1997 merger.

40 - The most disposals that Power has collected in a senior game. His feat back in Round 13 of 2008 at the Gabba is still an individual record at the Lions.

41 - Number of senior matches played as an official Co-Captain of the Club.

52 - The number of goals Power kicked in his breakthrough season of 2000. It remains his career-best return in front of goals.

81 - Total number of Brownlow Medal Votes Power has polled. This ranks him equal fifth in Brisbane Lions history, however he could move higher up the list should he poll more votes in 2011 (see table below).

262 - Total number of goals Power kicked throughout his career. It remains the 5th most in the Brisbane Lions’ merged existence (see table below).

282 - Total number of AFL matches which ranks him 6th on the Club’s all-time list and second only to Simon Black in the Brisbane Lions’ merged history (see table below).
