TEAM selection was kind to Fantasy coaches as we saw the return of many Draft-relevant names.

GWS will welcome back Toby Greene (FWD, $656,000) and Sam Jacobs (RUC, $533,000), who replaces the injured Shane Mumford.

However, the biggest talking point of the night was the fact that Jy Simpkin (MID/FWD, $671,000) was named after he injured his ankle last week. Simpkin missed training during the week and although he has been named, a big cloud of uncertainty looms over the Kangaroos star.
Warnie’s Rookie Radar
With only one rookie on the radar this week, Matthew Ling (DEF, $170,000) is our only shining hope. However, with an average of just 39 in the NEAFL from 10 games last year, we shouldn’t be expecting too much.
Roy’s Top Trade Targets
- Max Gawn (RUC, $943,000) – A breakeven of 84 and still rising in price. Get onboard ASAP.
- Adam Treloar (MID, $867,000) – One of the best there is and with only seven per cent ownership.
- Will Day (DEF, $316,000) – 72 last week and one of the most traded in players this week.
- Dayne Zorko (MID, $622,000) – Down $153k, and coming off 78. Time to jump on.
- Reilly O’Brien (RUC, $776,000) – Great match-up this week and much cheaper than the big boys.
Calvin’s Captains
In AFL Fantasy your captain scores you double points for that week. Here are Calvin’s top five picks for you to consider.
No. 1 – Lachie Neale v Melbourne @ Metricon Stadium
The Demons are Lachie Neale’s favourite team to score against over his career. During these eight games he has only dropped under 117 once. There will be no tag for Neale this week so expect something big.
No. 2 – Brodie Grundy v West Coast @ Optus Stadium
Grundy scored 129 and 122 against the Eagles last year and he is coming off 3x110+ scores in the last four weeks. He’s reliable and can hit those huge numbers we love.
No. 3 – Max Gawn v Brisbane @ Metricon Stadium
For some strange reason, Gawn’s worst team to score against is Brisbane. He has only scored 1x80+ in his career seven games as Stef Martin usually has his measure. However, Stef Martin is out and Gawn should have this one all his own way.
No. 4 – Adam Treloar v West Coast @ Optus Stadium
Coming off 119, Treloar is in sensational form. He scored 121 and 98 on the Eagles last year and should continue his form again.
No. 5 – Reilly O’Brien v Essendon @ Adelaide Oval
English (114), Goldstein (108) and Grundy (113) were the last rucks to tackle Essendon and this week O’Brien gets his turn. Although Phillips has been replaced by Bellchambers he should be great considering he scored 134 on the Bombers last year.
