Fisher, who missed the majority of the 2014 season with injury, will play a 12th season next year and, barring injury, bring up his 200-game milestone. He has currently played 198 games for the Saints.
A best and fairest winner in 2008 and 2011, Fisher was presented with life membership of St Kilda at Friday night’s Trevor Barker Award.

The 32-year-old said he was excited to confirm he would play another season.
“I’m thrilled to sign on again with the club. The Saints are a huge part of my life and I’m looking forward to continuing on again next year,” Fisher said.
The club’s head of football Chris Pelchen said Fisher would play a vital role with St Kilda’s young list.
"We are extremely pleased to have Sam play on into 2015. While this year was significantly affected by injury, his return to AFL football late in the season illustrated both his talent and importance to the team," Pelchen said.
"With such a young group of players being assembled at St Kilda, Sam will play an integral role in developing the defensive unit for the future.”
