THE WESTERN Bulldogs are hopeful ruckman Tim English has dodged a serious ankle injury after he went down with a "little tweak" late in the big win over Adelaide.

The ruckman has played every game this season, but could be in doubt for the crucial round 13 clash against Melbourne.
"I just asked him how he is and he seems to be OK," Western Bulldogs coach Luke Beveridge said after the 57-point victory at Metricon Stadium.
Midfielder Lachie Hunter finished the day with 29 disposals in his first game back after a personal absence and showed his appreciation for the club with a jumper-grab celebration after a goal.
"He's always been invested," Beveridge said of Hunter.
"He's an influencer, not in a social media sense, but in a football club sense. Hopefully we can have him for a while now."
Meanwhile, injury-plagued Adelaide defender Andrew McPherson is set to have a scan on a "very minor" hamstring issue, according to coach Matthew Nicks.
McPherson made his debut earlier this year after battling injuries throughout his three years on the list.

"He was tight through the hamstring and with 'Macca', we're really mindful of taking any risk with him due to his history," Nicks said.
Forward Darcy Fogarty was omitted for the clash after failing to create contests over the past few games, but Nicks believes he can co-exist in the forward 50 with veteran Taylor Walker.
"I think they can (play in the same team) – with 'Fog' this week we hadn't seen it for two weeks, we hadn't seen what we value," Nicks said.
