IS THERE any stopping Lachie Neale? Not according to AFL.com.au's Brownlow Predictor.
Neale is tipped to storm seven votes clear of his nearest rival Travis Boak after the AFL's 'Festival of Footy', with the Brisbane star an overwhelming favourite to claim his first Brownlow Medal later this season.
Neale is predicted to sit pretty at the top of the Brownlow Medal leaderboard with 20 votes at this stage of the season, at least three games worth of votes clear of both Boak and Christian Petracca in second and third respectively with just six matches left in the campaign.
BROWNLOW PREDICTOR All the votes
It would put the prolific Lions midfielder, who is averaging 28.8 disposals and nearly a goal per game so far this year, on the cusp of claiming his first Brownlow Medal after finishing equal-third behind Nat Fyfe and Patrick Dangerfield last season.
According to AFL.com.au's Brownlow Predictor, Neale has recorded best-on-ground performances in five of 12 matches so far this year while also polling votes in another three games.
Boak is predicted to sit second with 13 votes, while Petracca is third with 12 votes. Melbourne ruckman Max Gawn and Geelong spearhead Tom Hawkins round out the top-five, with both recording 10 votes each so far this year.
