Brent Harvey has broken away from the pack after only four rounds in the Blackwoods Supporter’s Player of the Year.

The Kangaroos’ captain opened the season by claiming best on ground honours against the Power and was second only to youngster Ryan Bastinac against the Swans.

While he openly admitted his performance against the Saints was the worst of his career, he bounced back against the Eagles and racked up a career-high 44 possessions and amassed nearly four times as many votes as any of his teammates.

Young gun and rising star nominee Bastinac sits second with Liam Anthony next on the list having continued his exciting 2009 form. The experienced Daniel Wells and deputy-vice captain Brady Rawlings round out the top five.

Remember to submit your votes on kangaroos.com.au at the conclusion of each match and you could personally hand over the award to the winning player at the Syd Barker Medal dinner.
