STEELE Sidebottom will seek to be available for Collingwood’s finals series, following the weekend birth of daughter Matilda.
Sidebottom will need to quarantine in Queensland for 14 days before being able to train and play with his Magpies teammates.
He will miss the Pies’ remaining home and away season matches, but with a competition bye weekend scheduled before the start of finals, it is possible he could complete the required Queensland government COVID-19 quarantine in time for his club’s elimination final should they qualify.

With the AFL unlikely to arrange another lockdown of a facility for quarantine purposes, Sidebottom will need to serve that period in isolation.
Sidebottom proudly told friends on the weekend that Matilda Sidebottom was born on Saturday.
One happy family. ??
