THE WESTERN Bulldogs have confirmed defender Dale Morris will miss an estimated two months with a broken leg.
The 34-year-old sustained the injury in the dying seconds of the opening round win over Collingwood, but he won't require surgery on his left fibula.
Bulldogs medical services manager Chris Bell told the club's website they won't be taking any risks with the 2008 All Australian.
"He will be managed conservatively, and at the moment we are thinking he will miss about eight weeks of football," Bell said.
Tory Dickson has had a setback in his return from off-season groin surgery, with the forward now set to miss up to a month with an abdominal concern.
The 29-year-old pulled up sore following Footscray's VFL practice match win over Collingwood.
"Tory developed some abdominal pain after the game on the weekend. We will manage this over the next 3-4 weeks, and reassess his return to play after this date," Bell said.
In better news, rookie Josh Prudden has made a full recovery from a knee reconstruction and will be available for a VFL practice match this weekend.
