Two more AFL players from Western Australia are in hot water, after Fremantle admitted forward Jeff Farmer and midfielder Steven Dodd were spoken to following an incident at a Perth nightclub over the weekend.

The Dockers' pair were involved in an "incident" at Club Bayview in Claremont on Saturday night - the same evening West Coast star Ben Cousins was arrested in Melbourne.

Although no details of the Farmer-Dodd incident were released, it is believed they were involved in an altercation at the fashionable nightspot.

"The Fremantle Football Club is aware of an incident that occurred at Club Bayview on Saturday evening involving players Steven Dodd and Jeff Farmer," the statement said.

"The club has spoken to both players about the incident and based on the information available at this time the club will be taking no action.

"The club will be making no further comment on the matter."

Club Bayview has been the venue for incidents involving AFL players in the past, most notably when West Coast's Andrew Embley was charged with assaulting a man following a brawl in 2002.

Embley's trial was later abandoned before it began, after police offered no evidence.

In the same month, Cousins broke his arm following a fight at the club with teammate Daniel Kerr.

It's not the first time Farmer and Dodd have had disciplinary issues.

Farmer pleaded guilty in court to assaulting his long-time girlfriend two years ago.

Unwilling to allow the details of the argument to be aired in court, Farmer withdrew an earlier not guilty plea and admitted he had punched his partner several times while driving his car in Osborne Park.

He was fined $2,000 by a magistrate.

Dodd was suspended for a game in 2005 after breaking club policy barring players from drinking alcohol while recovering from illness or injury.

The Dockers' statement comes 24 hours after the Eagles admitted Cousins had been arrested after a night out in Victoria.

The former West Coast skipper was picked up by police in the Southbank district about 4.30am and spent four hours in a police drunk tank sobering up.

Some reports said Cousins was due back in Perth on Monday, with others saying he was in keeping a low-profile in Melbourne.

His West Coast teammates remained tight-lipped at training, with the club making no further official statement.
