Hill, 20, has extended his contract by one season to the end of 2013, keeping him out of reach of new AFL franchise Greater Western Sydney, which will boast similar recruiting power to Gold Coast when it prepares to enter the competition.
Defender Greg Broughton has also committed to Fremantle until the end of the 2013 season, while impressive youngsters Matt de Boer, Dylan Roberton, Alex Silvagni and Jesse Crichton have signed on until the end of 2012.
Senior defender Roger Hayden, 29, has secured a one-year contract for next season, while Garrick Ibbotson has committed to the club for two more years.
Hill’s signature is a massive boost for the club on the eve of its first finals campaign since 2006, with the damaging midfielder roundly judged Fremantle’s best player in last Friday night’s six-point win over Carlton.
Since being recruited with the third pick at the 2008 NAB AFL Draft, Hill has missed just one game and shapes as the centerpiece in Fremantle’s midfield for years to come.
De Boer, 20, was recruited by Fremantle in the 2009 NAB AFL Rookie Draft, but the highly-rated youngster has blossomed this season in a defensive forward role, securing himself a spot on the club’s senior list.
Silvagni, 22, will also graduate from the rookie list after impressing in a key defensive post earlier this season.
