Exciting forward Nakia Cockatoo had six disposals while playing a half in his return from a long-term knee injury for Geelong's VFL side on Sunday.
Cockatoo showed some good signs during the early exchanges of the Cats' 23-point victory over Port Melbourne, but sat out the entire second half as he attempts to play a part in Geelong’s September campaign.
Big man Darcy Fort was the standout for the Cats with five first-half goals and six for the match, while James Parsons (27 disposals and one goal), Quinton Narkle (20 touches and two goals) and ruckman Rhys Stanley (16 disposals and 34 hitouts) did their chances of a senior recall no harm.
