It’s a timely return for the Magpie forward line with Leon Davis missing the match due to a neck complaint.
Collingwood’s chief of football Geoff Walsh was confident Davis would be available for selection in the lead up to the St Kilda clash next Saturday afternoon.
“It’s a problem Leon has had to manage over the last few weeks,” Walsh told Collingwoodfc.com.au.
“He should just need a week off and be right for round 16.”
Sidebottom has averaged 18.4 disposals, 4.3 tackles and kicked 15 goals in his first 13 games before missing last week’s 83-point win over West Coast.
Last week’s debutant Jarryd Blair has maintained his spot in the side after an impressive 16 disposal and five tackle performance. The 20-year-old was the first Magpie to make his debut this year and will look to continue his good form in the lead up to the club’s finals campaign.
Josh Fraser, Brent Macaffer and Luke Rounds have been named as the three emergencies.
