The St Kilda Football Club has gained pick 37 in the National Draft in a three way trade deal with Adelaide Football Club and Richmond Football Club.

In the deal, approved by the AFL this afternoon, Tom Lynch will make the move to Adelaide, Ivan Maric will head to Richmond and St Kilda will secure pick 37 in the National Draft.

St Kilda General Manager of Player List and Legal Affairs, Ameet Bains thanked Tom Lynch for his service to the Saints and wished him all the best going forward.

"The St Kilda Football Club wishes Tom Lynch every success in the future. Tom has made a great contribution to the Club during his time here and we thank him for that."

"Tom made us aware that he wanted to make the move to Adelaide and that was facilitated through this three way deal with the Crows and the Tigers."

Tom was drafted by the Saints in 2008, debuted in 2010 and played five games in 2011.

St Kilda's first five picks in the National Draft now stand at 25, 37, 42, 60 and 78.
