Our second stop, Exeter Primary School, showed great support for Hawthorn.
Students moved into the gym ready for the Hawks In Schools program, which was at capacity as Exeter had six classes of grade three and four participating.
Hawka made a grand entrance, and as the kids cheered and whistled, he ran up and down the aisles giving high-fives.
Three students paraded our three Hawks Guernsey’s for all to see - our traditional playing strip, our clash guernsey and a Hawks replica guernsey that was worn in the 60s and 70s.
We moved outdoors to the oval and engaged in an active participation session.
Handballing, kicking and games run by UTAS students Robert Spenser, Hamish Shaw, and Cameron Lester were well received.
Thank you to all the staff from Exeter Primary, Sheryl Turner and principle Rod Howell for having us at their school.
The MBF Hawks Express will be visiting Longford Primary School next.
A happy Exeter Primary student with the new equipment.
Hawka and some new friends from Exeter Primary.
