KIDS should be active for at least 60 minutes per day.

Do you know how easy this is to do?? Think about what you do just at school- PE and Sport lessons, lunch time and recess games, and most people walk to school. That’s 60 minutes already!

Here are some ideas to make your day more active

• Jump rope to your favourite music
• Join a club or a sports group. There are heaps of netball and football clubs around. There is even Scottish dancing clubs! These days there is a group of people who will do any type of activity you want!
• Do the gardening with mum or dad
• Play Frisbee
• Do some activity whilst watching the ads on TV- sit ups, push ups etc
• Walk your pet
• Play handball in your driveway
• Try a karaoke/dancing game on DVD
• Try walking the longer route to or from school
