CULT figure and All Australian Harry O'Brien has committed to a one-year contract extension, tying him to Collingwood until the end of the 2012 season.

O'Brien's commitment comes after captain Nick Maxwell signed a two-year contract extension at the end of of 2010.
"It’s very exciting and also a bit of a relief, because I can put that behind me and really concentrate on the on-field stuff in 2011," O’Brien told Collingwood's website.
"I want to play my football at the Collingwood Football Club. We have an opportunity here and we all feel it...we can have sustained success.
"It has been an amazing journey. I haven’t had too much time to reflect on it. I think you do that at the end of the career, but I know I’ve had to really work hard to get to this position, and I know I’ve got to continue to work hard to try and improve.
"I’m extremely excited about what the future holds for this football club."
O'Brien was originally a second-round rookie draft selection in 2004 after making his way from the Claremont Football Club in Western Australia to trial with the Magpies.
He has blossomed into one of the Magpies’ best and most durable players (he as now played 86 consecutive games) and has twice finished in the top five in the Copeland Trophy (fifth in 2008, fourth in 2009), and he capped off his great 2010 with another top 10 best-and-fairest finish.
