In cold and slippery conditions, Sandringham defeated Tasmania under lights at York Park in Launceston. It was young Daniel Bell, who after receiving a free kick with only 90 seconds remaining on the clock, kicked the winning goal to give Sandy a well deserved 2 point victory.

Bell’s class and pace showed why hewas the Club’s first selectionin last year’s Draft. Ezra Poyas appeared to be at home in the slippery conditions and was one of Sandringham’s best.

Alistair Nicholson continued on the come back trail and started the game in devastating fashion by taking four strong marks resulting in his opponent ex-saint Jason Heatley being taken from the ground.

Luke Molan was a shining light up forward kicking 3 goals along with Jared Rivers who continued his great form over the last few weeks booting 2.

Peter Walsh showed his class, while Gary Moorcroft finished the game with two handy goals. Nick Smith was also prominent at Centre Half Forward
