The AFL Membership product is based on access to matches at the MCG and Telstra Dome as they are the only two venues in Australia that have an AFL Reserve. The AFL Reserve at the MCG is located within the Great Southern Stand and the AFL Members seating location at Telstra Dome is dependant on the home team.

MCG Matches

Walk-up matches allow you to simply scan your card at the ground on match day for entry, with no additional costs. There is no requirement to reserve a seat for a walk-up match, although for those who like to be pre-prepared, there are allocated reserved seat areas which are made available to reserve one month prior to the game.

  • Walk-up seating is available for most matches in 2008 (excludes ANZAC Day and other games as nominated throughout the season), allowing you to scan your card at the ground without any additional fees
  • Over 4,500 seats on Level N and M are available on a ‘first-in, first-served’ basis
  • Over 7,000 additional seats on Level P and Q are available for those who prefer an elevated view
  • Reserved seats can be pre-purchased at the cost of the booking fee only through Ticketmaster ($5.50 per Adult or Concession and $2.20 per Junior)
  • Reserved seats are limited across all four levels of the AFL Reserve
  • Any seats / bays – irrespective of level not reserved are made available for walk-up on the day of the match

If the AFL anticipates that the demand for a particular match may exceed capacity, the match will be upgraded to a ‘Reserved Seat Ticket Event’ meaning that all patrons will be required to upgrade their membership to a reserved seat for that particular match. ANZAC Day is classified as a ‘Reserved Seat Ticket Event’.

Telstra Dome

LEVEL 1

  • 3,000 Level 1 seats are available for AFL Members to reserve for every match at the cost of the booking fee only
  • Any Level 1 seats unreserved can be obtained from the stadium box office at no charge on the day of the match

LEVEL 3

  • 3,000 Level 3 seats are available for AFL Member walk-up
  • AFL Members can scan in at any gate to access Level 3
  • Level 3 reserved seats can only be purchased for ‘Reserved Seat Ticket Matches’ e.g. all Essendon home matches

Other Venues

AFL Members do not have access to Skilled Stadium and non-Victorian venues due to the tenant clubs control ticketing for their respective venues.

If you hold a ‘Club Support Package’ for Geelong or a non-Victorian team, you are granted entry entitlements to that particular club’s home matches because your club support fee contributes to the cost of gate entry prices. Please note that some venues may require you to upgrade your entry to a reserved seat – either seasonally through the club or for individual matches through the designated ticketing agency.
