BACKS
Graham Johncock (Adelaide) - The small rebounding defender has been among Adelaide's top performers this season and he was again one of his side's best against North Melbourne. His contested work and disposal efficiency was a highlight.

Matthew Scarlett (Geelong) - Held one of the most in-form forwards in the game - Daniel Bradshaw - to just three touches and one goal, reinforcing his status as the best key defender in the game. In a super performance, Scarlett also won the ball 20 times.

Campbell Brown (Hawthorn) - The 2007 All-Australian defender stymied the red-hot Paul Medhurst, who won the Anzac Day Medal in round six and had booted 11 goals in his past two matches. Brown kept the Magpie to just eight disposals and one goal.

Andrew Carrazzo (Carlton)
- Instrumental in Carlton's win over West Coast, Carrazzo achieved a round-high and a career-best 42 disposals in a stunning performance, predominantly running out of defence and into attack.
