COLLINGWOOD forward Travis Cloke will miss at least this week's game against the Western Bulldogs after scans confirmed a calf tear.
The Magpies are also going to be conservative with Jamie Elliott, with the small forward to be sidelined for at least the next fortnight due to a stress reaction in his back.
Cloke suffered his injury during the first term of Saturday's contest against West Coast and was subbed out of the game.
"Travis has had scans and they have revealed he has a strain to the soleus muscle. It's not terrible but it's certainly bad enough to keep him out for this week," Magpies football manager Neil Balme told the club's website.
Earlier on Monday, leading sports medico Doctor Peter Larkins told AFL.com.au Cloke could miss up to three weeks with the injury.
Balme said Elliott's sore back had "settled down" but the club would be conservative with his recovery, given the serious nature of the injury.

In better news for the Magpies, Balme said Ben Reid - who has not yet played a senior game in 2015 - would "certainly play" in the VFL this week as he continues his lengthy comeback from a calf injury.
Tyson Goldsack is expected to be available to play this week after being sidelined for the past three weeks because of knee tendinitis.
However, rookie Branden Abbott will miss the rest of the season after having his shoulder reconstructed this week.
