ADELAIDE
Trades confirmed:
Richard Tambling (Richmond) for Adelaide's end-of-first round compensation for losing Nathan Bock, and a third-round draft selection (No.50).
On the table: Jon Griffin is seeking a return home to Western Australia to be closer to his ill father and the Crows are confident they can get a deal done with Fremantle.
Targets: Carlton ruckman Sam Jacobs has requested a trade to Adelaide but the Blues are playing hardball, demanding a first-round draft pick for the uncontracted South Australian. Jacobs has indicated he'll go into the NAB AFL Pre-Season Draft if an agreement between the two clubs can't be reached in the exchange period.

BRISBANE LIONS
Trades confirmed:
Gold Coast's first (Nos.5 and 25) and second-round (27) draft selections for the Lions' end-of-first-round compensation for Jared Brennan and a first-round selection (No.10). Rohan Bewick (Gold Coast pre-listed) for the Lions' third-round selection (48).
On the table: Justin Sherman has insisted that he is either traded to the Western Bulldogs or remains in Brisbane, but the Lions are tempted by the Swans' offer (No.21) for the contracted midfielder. Fremantle remains interested in Mitch Clark, who is keen to return to WA, while Daniel Rich has also been linked with a move back home.
Targets: The Lions were prominent players in trade week last year but appear set to rebuild through the draft in 2010.

CARLTON
Trades confirmed:
Nil.
On the table: The Blues have have chosen to hold fire to this point. Sam Jacobs (Adelaide), Shaun Grigg (Richmond), Andrew Walker (Western Bulldogs, Port Adelaide), Bret Thornton and Setanta O'hAilpin all want out, but the club has spent more time securing new assistant coaches than seeking to move players.
Targets: Chris Tarrant was on the radar before he locked in Collingwood as his preferred destination. Keen to add another key defender, Carlton is reported to have asked after Crows Daniel Talia and Phil Davis as part of a possible Jacobs deal. Its demand of a first-round draft selection for the ruckman was also rebuffed. Young Tiger Andrew Collins may be on his way to Visy Park as part of Grigg move but that was unconfirmed as of Saturday.

COLLINGWOOD
Trades confirmed:
Andrew Krakouer, Jonathon Ceglar (both Gold Coast pre-listed) and picks 55, 78 and 95 for the Pies' first-round selection (pick 25).
On the table: Collingwood have lost a few players to retirement already, but that won't stop them making changes. Premiership players are off-limits to rival clubs, but John Anthony's name is known to have been cast out there. Leon Davis is also willing to make a move, as long as it's in a westerly direction.
Targets: Chris Tarrant remains the big fish likely to end up at the Westpac Centre. Whether the Pies can strike a deal with Freo remains to be seen, or we may have a Luke Ball-type scenario where the defender walks through to a draft. Collingwood has already nabbed two players they feel will add something to their list both in the short and long term - Krakouer and Ceglar.

ESSENDON
Trades confirmed:
Nil.
On the table: Bachar Houli, who wants to move to Richmond, is the only Bomber that appears likely to avoid James Hird's first season as senior coach. Brent Stanton, Leroy Jetta, Alwyn Davey and David Myers all poured cold water on trade speculation by re-signing after Hird's arrival.
Targets: While quick in other parts of the ground, the Bombers appear keen to land an outside midfielder with leg speed. However, no realistic trade options have presented.

FREMANTLE
Trades confirmed:
Received Peter Faulks (Gold Coast pre-listed) and Gold Coast's fourth-round draft selection (No.61) for pick 55.
On the table: Chris Tarrant has nominated Collingwood as his preferred club and has made it known he will enter the pre-season draft if he does not land at the Pies, leaving Fremantle with little room to move. Rhys Palmer has also been rumoured as a bartering tool.
Targets: Mitch Clark is the key player in Fremantle's sights, though the Lions are reluctant to let him go. Adelaide ruckman Jon Griffin is the club's second option. The Dockers are keen to land a back-up ruckman for Aaron Sandilands but otherwise appear content with their draft picks.

GEELONG
Trades confirmed:
The Western Bulldogs' third-round draft selection (No.57) for Nathan Djerrkura.
On the table: The Cats aren't known to be shopping any of their big names around, despite Andrew Mackie's name popping up throughout the week. There are a few players looking for a fresh start elsewhere. Ryan Gamble would definitely want a change of scenery if the Cats can find him one, while one of Trent West or Mark Blake may move on.
Targets: The Cats have just lost the best player in the competition and are unlikely to find another Gary Ablett in a hurry. There aren't a lot of midfielders on the market, but the Cats also have depth in that area. They're more likely to look for key talls, and then go hard at the draft. When they use their compensation picks for Gazza is the other factor.

GOLD COAST
Trades confirmed:
Third-round draft selection (No.55 - on-traded to Collingwood) for Peter Faulks and Fremantle's fourth-round draft selection (61). First-round selection (No.25 - on-traded to Brisbane Lions) for Andrew Krakouer, Jonathon Ceglar, third-round draft selection (55), fifth-round draft selection (78) and sixth-round draft selection (95). Jared Brennan (Brisbane Lions), first-round draft selection (No.10) and third-round draft selection (48) for first-round draft selections (Nos.5 and 25), second-round draft selection (No.27) and Rohan Bewick.
On the table: Gold Coast has showed it is willing to part with several of the club's 10 previously-listed or nominated players, trading Krakouer, Ceglar, Faulks and Bewick in exchange for more draft picks.
Targets: The Suns rounded out their list of uncontracted players from other clubs ahead of Thursday's deadline by signing Brisbane Lions utility Jared Brennan and out-of-favour Collingwood ruckman Josh Fraser.

HAWTHORN
Trades confirmed:
David Hale (North Melbourne) and third-round draft selection (No.52) for Hawthorn's end-of-first-round compensation for losing Campbell Brown to Gold Coast, and a fourth-round draft selection (71).
On the table: The Hawks have indicated there has been minor interest in Rick Ladson, Beau Dowler and Beau Muston, but none of that trio appears to be heading anywhere.
Targets: With Rhan Hooper and possibly Carl Peterson moving on, the Hawks are keen to lure Josh Hill from Whitten Oval. The Dogs want a top-40 pick for the small forward, but the Hawks aren't going to pay that price. Chris Tarrant was targeted and the Hawks are still watching Collingwood and Fremantle's stalled talks with interest. List manager Chris Pelchen has stated the club is chasing another unnamed key defender.

MELBOURNE
Trades confirmed:
Nil.
On the table: Matthew Warnock has reportedly sparked interest from clubs seeking a key defender but list manager Tim Harrington has said Warnock is still a required player. Cameron Bruce remains unsigned and it was rumoured he could head to Gold Coast but nothing eventuated. Delisted forward Brad Miller is pursuing a potential lifeline at Richmond.
Targets: The Demons chased former Roo David Hale hard but refused to offer more than their second-round draft selection, allowing the Hawks to swoop. Melbourne also expressed early interest in Justin Sherman but the Lion midfielder is set on heading to the Western Bulldogs.

NORTH MELBOURNE
Trades confirmed:
Hawthorn's end-of-first-round draft selection (received as compensation for Campbell Brown) and a fourth-round draft selection (No. 71) for David Hale (North Melbourne) and a third-round draft selection (52). Ben McKinley (West Coast) to North Melbourne for its fifth-round draft selection (currently 86).
On the table: North Melbourne has been awfully quiet both in the lead-up and throughout the trade period. Gavin Urquhart, a former Queenslander, is one name who has raised some interest among rival clubs after a subdued 2010, while Matt Campbell is another to have been discussed. But the Roos are eager to keep their young list together.
Targets: The Kangaroos are eager to again launch at the draft. After trading Hale, they now have an end-of-first-round draft selection to go with picks 17 and 35. They have also gained former Eagle McKinley for basically nothing. If there's an outside midfielder going cheap they might have a look, but coach Brad Scott isn't really in the trade market this year.

PORT ADELAIDE
Trades confirmed:
Nil.
On the table: Daniel Motlop is being shopped around, but the Power haven't been inundated with offers for the enigmatic forward.
Targets: Port Adelaide joined the race for Carlton utility Andrew Walker when cross-town rival Adelaide bowed out, but the Blues are playing hardball on this deal too. South Australian Brad Ebert has been mentioned as a possible target, but the West Coast midfielder's management says he's happy at the Eagles and isn't looking for a trade.

RICHMOND
Trades confirmed:
Adelaide's end-of-first round compensation selection for losing Nathan Bock and a third-round draft selection (No.50) for Richard Tambling.
On the table: Defender Will Thursfield is seeking a new club and he has already met with Fremantle. Richmond has reportedly set the price at a second-round pick.
Targets: The Tigers are keen to beef up their midfield by adding Carlton's Shaun Grigg and disgruntled Bomber Bachar Houli. Both players have told their respective clubs of their wish to join Richmond; now a deal just has to be done. Player manager Paul Connors has said the Tigers are also considering delisted Demon Brad Miller as a potential recruit.

ST KILDA
Trades confirmed:
Nil.
On the table: After an active couple of years at trade time, the Saints look set for a very quiet 2010. Football manager Greg Hutchison has said the club is keen to give its youngsters more opportunities in 2011.
Targets: Despite the club's intention to steer clear of trading, former player Aussie Jones has implored the Saints to trade for more pace, skill and experience to go one step further on grand final day. Whether Ross Lyon takes any notice of the views of a self-confessed 'outside supporter' is another matter.

SYDNEY SWANS
Trades confirmed:
Andrejs Everitt (Western Bulldogs) for Patrick Veszpremi and the Swans' fourth-round draft selection (No.73).
On the table: Paul Bevan put his name out there after being dropped for the Swans' finals clash with the Western Bulldogs, but hasn't attracted much attention to this point.
Targets: The Swans put a lucrative offer to disgruntled Brisbane Lions midfielder Justin Sherman but the Tasmanian has knocked it back, saying the Bulldogs are his club of choice.

WEST COAST
Trades confirmed:
North Melbourne's fifth-round draft selection (No.86) for forward Ben McKinley. Confirmed father-son draftee Jacob Brennan for its last selection.
On the table: Like McKinley, who requested a trade home to Melbourne, Matt Spangher has asked to join a Victorian team. South Australian midfielder Brad Ebert has also been linked with a move to his home state, but is highly rated by the club.
Targets: The Eagles have so far played their cards close to their chest, but a small forward is widely regarded as a necessity for the club. Port Adelaide's Daniel Motlop is a name that has surfaced after Josh Hill declared Hawthorn was his club of choice.

WESTERN BULLDOGS
Trades confirmed:
Patrick Veszpremi (Sydney Swans) and a fourth-round draft selection (No.73) for Andrejs Everitt. Nathan Djerrkura (Geelong) for a third-round draft selection (57). Confirmed father-son draftees Mitch Wallis (No.22) and Tom Liberatore (40).
On the table: The Dogs want a top-40 pick for Josh Hill, but the Hawks have baulked at that demand. Stephen Tiller has also asked the Dogs to facilitate a trade, but negotiations with Geelong collapsed earlier in the week. Will Minson was mentioned in dispatches but looks unlikely to move on.
Targets: Lion Justin Sherman is the priority, but the Swans are trying their best to trump the Dogs. Sherman is adamant he wants to play under Rodney Eade from next year. Andrew Walker is another player of interest, but is unlikely to get to Whitten Oval with the Blues demanding a high price for the contracted player.
