The Geelong Cats are encouraging all members and supporters to take part in Run Geelong on Sunday 21st November. Whether you choose to run or walk, this is a fantastic event which aims to raise over $300,000 for the Geelong Hospital’s Children’s Ward redevelopment. So far over 7000 people have signed up for either the 6km or 12km course.

The Hospital is so important to our community, providing much needed care, particularly for young children. Joel Selwood, Run Geelong ambassador, recently spoke with the Geelong Advertiser about the event. Whilst he is not a parent yet he knows how important Run Geelong is.

“In the future, I hope I’ll have no problems with my kids, but if there are problems, we hope to have the right things in place here in Geelong.”

He continues, “the more we can get down here, the better the facilities and equipment are, and parents can stay in town rather than travelling up the highway.”

Joel will be joined by his team mates Cameron Ling, Harry Taylor, James Kelly, Corey Enright, Joel Corey and Mathew Stokes.
