Former Crows rookie James Moss has rejoined the club in an administration role.

Moss, 20, has taken on the position as a Junior Development Assistant in the club’s commercial operations area.

Moss spent two years on Adelaide’s rookie list. In his first year he played consistent league football for Central District and was a member of their 2008 premiership team.

Unfortunately a hip injury kept Moss off the field for all of 2009 and he was unable to fully recover, but he is excited to be back at the football club in another capacity.

“It was disappointing the way it finished and I went away for four months and worked on Bernie Vince’s farm with his Dad,” said the 20-year-old, who was taken with Adelaide’s first pick in the 2007 Rookie Draft.

“I was lucky enough for the club to give me a call and say there was a position available. I jumped at it pretty much because the people around the club are superb and they have been good to me through my footy and during my rehab and it’s good to pay them back and work with such a good organisation.

“We’ve got a good team here with junior development so I’m really looking forward to it.”

Moss will work specifically with the Northern Region and will be heavily involved in the club’s Crows in Schools program.

He has taken part in the program previously as a player and he is looking forward to working in the role in another capacity.

“Last year I did a lot of coaching clinics and I really enjoyed that and I enjoy working with kids. I think I can learn a lot coming here and working in this role for junior development,” he said.

“Hopefully it goes onto bigger and better things and maybe some development work with the senior guys down the track.”
