COLLINGWOOD forward Travis Cloke has kicked five goals in three quarters as his side battles to hold off a persistent Sydney Swans at ANZ Stadium.
Cloke, matched up on Swan Heath Grundy, added to his two first-quarter goals with three in the third term, stating his intent when he opened the half with a rousing goal.
With Collingwood leading by 17 points at half-time, the Swans needed a fast start to the third term.
Instead, the Magpies won the opening clearance and bombed the ball forward.
Chris Dawes got the ball to Steele Sidebottom, who handballed to Travis Cloke.
The key forward then slotted the goal beautifully from an acute angle to extend the margin.
However, the Swans have since fought back, trailing by just nine points at three-quarter time.
The Swans were dealt a blow early in the match when promising youngster Kieran Jack was substituted from the match after an accidental head clash with teammate Jude Bolton.
