The 23-year-old is out of contact and yet to commit to the club, with his manager-father David negotiating a contract extension that would lock him in until the end of 2012.
While David Cloke has all but ruled out a potential trade, he says his son may walk out on the club if they fail to strike a deal over the next few days.
"We still haven't come to an agreement on the contract and we're looking at it now if we can't come to an agreement what the next option or step we take is," he told afl.com.au's Trade Week Radio on Monday.
"We won't be doing anything in the trade period unless something drastic happens in the next hour.
"I can't get in contact with Travis, he's away on holiday at the moment so I'm 99 per cent sure nothing will happen in the trade period and we'll continue to try and negotiate a deal.
"If things are not sorted out this week, the option will be he'll go into the draft."
Cloke said there had been "some ground" made on talks in the past three or four days after he agreed to reduce the request by a year.
After initially attempting a three-year term, they are now seeking a two-year contract with an eye to the new free agency rules, which will be implemented for the 2012 season.
Cloke said there were a range of reasons why his son was somewhat dissatisfied with his situation at Collingwood and it wasn't just about the finer details of his contract.
"In some ways, he is probably a little bit disappointed he hasn't been involved in the leadership group at the club in the period of time he's been there," he said.
"Other players have come in and gone straight into it so that's been a little bit of a sticking point within himself.
"There's a couple of things but he wants to stay there. Like most things, he wants it to be fair and reasonable."
Cloke denied he had fielded calls from Carlton in the trade period.
