Patrick Dangerfield, Sam Jacobs, Brent Reilly, Scott Thompson and Taylor Walker have all been nominated from the Crows, with none of them having previously been named in an All Australian side.
Harry Taylor, Corey Enright, Tom Hawkins, Tom Lonergan and Joel Selwood have all been named in the squad for Geelong.
Enright has featured in the past four All Australian teams and Selwood earned a spot in the 2009 and 2010 teams. Taylor was also in the 2010 team while Lonergan and Hawkins have never previously been named.
Carlton captain Chris Judd has been left out of the squad after earning selection in each of the past four years for six selections overall. Geelong's Matthew Scarlett is another to miss after earning six All Australian selections.
Despite winning the most possessions for the season, Western Bulldogs skipper Matthew Boyd was not nominated.
Fremantle captain Matthew Pavlich has a chance to break clear of Scarlett and Judd as the most decorated current-day All Australian player after he was nominated for his seventh year in the team. Pavlich has not been selected in the side since 2008.
Last year's captain Gary Ablett is once again the sole Gold Coast player to be nominated, while the Brisbane Lions, Greater Western Sydney, Melbourne and the Bulldogs did not have any players nominated.
Other members in the squad searching for their first All Australian selection include Carlton's Eddie Betts, Collingwood's Dayne Beams, Essendon's Jobe Watson, Fremantle's Luke McPharlin, Hawthorn pair Grant Birchall and Cyril Rioli, North Melbourne captain Andrew Swallow, Tiger trio Trent Cotchin, Brett Deledio and Ivan Maric, St Kilda's Sean Dempster, Sydney Swans quartet Kieren Jack, Lewis Jetta, Josh Kennedy and Ted Richards, and Eagle duo Nic Naitanui and Beau Waters.
The All Australian Selection panel is Andrew Demetriou (chairman), Adrian Anderson, Kevin Bartlett, Luke Darcy, Danny Frawley, Gerard Healy, Glen Jakovich and Mark Ricciuto.
