The town of Sheffield was the eighth stop of ten in the Hawks In Schools journey around Tasmania.
Sheffield is a small town in central northern Tasmania and well known as the town of murals.
Although Sheffield is a small town the district school caters for many students from all of the surrounding farming areas of Barrington, Kentish, Gowerie Park and Bulah.
It was great to see the students actively participating in the discussions on healthy eating and staying active, hay bale jumping was an interesting activity the children liked doing to keep active.
Ten students were selected to come out to the front of stage to choose Hawka's lunch for the day, they chose all the healthy foods that Hawka likes to eat.
The weather was fantastic as the children played AFL fruit salad under a fantastic view of Mount Rowland.
Thank you to Principal Ron Daly and students from Sheffield Primary for your warm hospitality.
Next stop: St Helens Primary School.
