Scott from England admits that after moving to Adelaide, Australian Football took precedence over Soccer and Rugby.

This is the ninth edition of our series of Crows fans living or travelling overseas.

Greetings from Luton, England.

Before I moved to Adelaide in 2005 I loved Soccer & Rugby and never knew much about AFL footy. In 2006 I was hooked and went to the majority of the Crows home games, including an away trip to the MCG against the Western Bulldogs.

I returned to the UK in 2007 and have since bought Setanta Sports TV so I can watch 3 live games of footy every week and all have been recorded to DVD. To me AFL footy is the best sport in the world now and coming from a soccer loving Pom, that's big!

I came back this year for a holiday and planned it around the month of April so I could see 2 live Crow games, 1 at home to Fremantle & another trip to the mighty MCG against Carlton and both were great wins. There is nothing better than watching a live game of footy. Porplyzia was the player of 2008 for the Crows in my eyes.

Can you let Neil Craig and the rest of his team know that they are doing a superb job and have a massive global following. All the best to Kenny as well - a good servant to the club.
Go the Crows!

Scott

If you are living or travelling overseas and have a similar story – or even one quite different – get in touch with us.

Our website statistics show that about five per cent of traffic to afc.com.au is from outside Australia, mainly from the UK, the US, Singapore and New Zealand. And as we have nearly 100,000 unique visitors each month during the football season, that means there are a lot of Crows overseas for some reason.

So we want to read your story.

Where are you living or holidaying? What took you to another part of the world? How do you get your Crows and footy fix? What you miss most about being closer to the Crows? Do you meet with other Crows supporters to watch or listen to games?

You may be living in London and watch the games at a pub. Or perhaps you are in a Kombi van driving around Europe; teaching in Japan; working in New York; or backpacking through Asia

So write to Communications Manager David Burtenshaw at dburtenshaw@afc.com.au and tell us your story. The best articles will be published on our club’s official website.
