North Melbourne's 2011 campaign is now complete and most players are enjoying a well earned break. Now is the perfect time to analyse each of them, assess their strengths and weaknesses, and see who is best suited to take the club forward.

kangaroos.com.au is conducting reviews on all 46 players, underlining their best games, season statistics and video highlights.

Lachlan Hansen
Games: 17
Goals: 13

kangaroos.com.au says:
With Drew Petrie back in the forward line, Hansen didn’t have the same amount of room or space he enjoyed in 2010.

Although a dangerous option for the Roos in attack with his ability to run and take a strong overhead mark, Brad Scott opted to use him as a key-position defender at times.

Hansen made headlines in round six against Port Adelaide when he crashed into the fence behind the goals. The 23-year old was stretchered from the field and missed the following week with concussion.

Several weeks later against the Gold Coast, he received an innocuous knock, was subbed off and missed the following two matches.

Hansen will be keen to cement his spot either as a forward or defender next season.
