The 23-year-old sustained the injury during last Saturday night's win over Adelaide, with the club confirming on Saturday the hamstring strain is a minor one.
Reece Conca, back from suspension, replaces Martin in the Tigers' 22 with Dan Jackson coming in as the new emergency.
Martin played out the game against the Crows, kicking the sealer in the dying minutes of the 10-point win, and also managed to train during the week.
The Tigers are unsure at this stage if he will be available for next week's final game of the home and away season against the Sydney Swans, meaning his season may be over unless the club makes finals.
In order to make the top eight, Richmond must beat St Kilda and the Swans in their two remaining games and rely on other results going their way.
