THERE is finally some good news coming out of Greater Western Sydney with wingman Harry Perryman signing a contract extension until the end of 2022.

It hasn't been a great few days for the Giants after they were bundled out of the finals race and then told that dashing defender Zac Williams wanted to leave.

Defender Aidan Corr is also leaving, so Perryman's signature comes at a good time as the club looks to stabilise its list.

The 21-year-old has played 16 of a possible 17 games in 2020 to take his career tally to 52 games across four seasons.

He has become one of the Giants' most reliable players and kicked nine goals across the first four rounds to lead the Coleman Medal early in the season before playing a more defensive role.

Originally from the Riverina town of Collingullie, Perryman joined the club's Academy and was later selected with pick 14 in the 2016 NAB AFL Draft.

"It's been a challenging season this year but the future is exciting for our club and I can't wait to get 2021 underway," Perryman said.

Fellow GWS Academy product Jeremy Finlayson also signed on until the end of 2023, but the club is still desperate to get the signature of star forward Jeremy Cameron who is a free agent this year.
