PLAYER INJURY ESTIMATED RETURN
 Marcus Adams  Foot  Season
 Harris Andrews  Hamstring  Test
 Jarrod Berry  Shoulder  Test
 Connor McFadyen  Knee  Season
 Updated: Tuesday, September 29

Early prognosis

The only players under any hint of a cloud are Andrews and Berry, but unless something goes wrong between now and Friday, both will line up against Richmond. The pair have trained strongly over the past week or more and are ready to resume their places. - Michael Whiting

Collingwood

PLAYER INJURY ESTIMATED RETURN
 Flynn Appleby   Hamstring  2-3 weeks
 Dayne Beams  Mental health  Indefinite
 Jeremy Howe   Knee  Season
 Will Kelly  Elbow  1 week
 Tom Langdon  Knee  Indefinite
 Chris Mayne  Cheekbone  Test
 Tom Phillips  Hamstring  1-2 weeks
 Trey Ruscoe   Hip  Test
 Steele Sidebottom  Personal  Season
 Brayden Sier  Quad  Test
Updated: Tuesday, September 29

Early prognosis

Collingwood is hopeful Mayne will return from a nasty fractured cheekbone for Saturday night's elimination final against West Coast. However, the likes of Kelly and Phillips are a bit further behind and would be unlikely to play. Expect both Ruscoe and Sier to undergo fitness tests, but Ben Reid won't play after retiring last week. The club has officially put a line through Howe's chances of returning this year due to a knee injury. Riley Beveridge

Geelong Cats

PLAYER INJURY ESTIMATED RETURN
 Nakia Cockatoo  Wrist  Season
 Charlie Constable  Tongue  Test
 Nathan Kreuger  Knee  Season
 Sam Simpson  Hamstring  Test
Updated: Tuesday, September 29

Early prognosis

Chris Scott has declared Rhys Stanley and Tom Atkins available to return after missing three and one games respectively. Now they just have to be picked at the selection table. It leaves the Cats at full-strength heading into Thursday night's qualifying final. Constable required stitches after biting through his tongue in a nasty head clash with Josh Jenkins last week but doesn't appear close to AFL selection. Zach Tuohy has been managing knee soreness for much of the season but it won't sideline him for any finals. - Mitch Cleary

Port Adelaide

PLAYER INJURY ESTIMATED RETURN
 Mitch Georgiades  Hamstring  Test
Updated: Tuesday, September 29

Early prognosis

Doesn't this look good for Port Adelaide? Young forward Georgiades is the club's only fitness concern ahead of Thursday night's qualifying final with Geelong, after both Ryan Burton (quad) and Tom Clurey (hamstring) were officially cleared earlier this week. Zak Butters will also return following a two-match rough conduct suspension. Riley Beveridge

Updated: Monday, September 28

Early prognosis

Lynch has been ruled out, but the Tigers are confident Prestia will be available to make his return in Friday night's qualifying final. Aarts and Bolton have both recovered from minor knocks and will be available, while Caddy will also put his hand up despite struggling with patella tendon soreness. Higgins suffered a minor calf strain in the scratch match against Brisbane, but could be available for week two of the finals. - Ben Sutton

St Kilda

PLAYER INJURY ESTIMATED RETURN
 Josh Battle  Foot  1 week
 Nathan Brown  Personal leave  Season
 Jade Gresham  Back  Season
 Zak Jones  Hamstring  Test
 Jack Lonie  Knee  Test
 Jack Mayo  Knee   Season
Updated: Wednesday, September 30

Early prognosis

Despite hope he would play after not training for more than a week, the Saints officially ruled Battle out of the clash with the Dogs on Wednesday morning. They're confident his foot soreness will only see him miss one match and have him in line to return should the Saints progress to a semi-final. Lonie continues to manage bone bruising and has had his knee heavily strapped in recent days, while Jack Steele has enjoyed a lighter build-up. Jones is a near-certain starter having recovered from the hamstring strain suffered on September 10. - Mitch Cleary

 Lewis Jetta  Calf  Test
 Ben Johnson  Groin  Season
 Jamaine Jones  Hamstring  2-3 weeks

 Nathan Vardy  Thigh  Test
 Daniel Venables  Concussion  Season
 Francis Watson  Knee  Season
 Elliot Yeo  Groin  Season
Updated: Tuesday, September 29

Early prognosis

McGovern is firming to play on Saturday night in a game that will fall 23 days after the hamstring strain he suffered in round 17. The Eagles are yet to officially give him the green light, but all signs are pointing to him playing. Kennedy enjoyed a light week on the track last week but is expected to play off an ankle injury sustained in the final game of the home and away season. Luke Shuey said he would've been fit to play without the pre-finals bye, while Redden, Jetta and Hutchings are likely to be fit. Jamie Cripps is cherry ripe, having missed the last four games of the season to be in Perth with his pregnant partner who has since given birth. - Mitch Cleary

Western Bulldogs

 Lin Jong  Ankle  Season
 Toby McLean  Knee  Season

Updated: Tuesday, September 29
