WEST Coast has categorically ruled out dangling emerging tall Jarrod Brander to satisfy Geelong in a trade for mature-age midfielder Tim Kelly.
There has been speculation Brander, who attended Geelong Grammar, could help get a deal done with talks progressing slowly so far.
But the Eagles' general manager of football Craig Vozzo insisted the exciting 195cm tall – West Coast's first pick at No.13 overall in last year's NAB AFL Draft – was not on the table.

"Absolutely not," Vozzo told 6PR.
"We've looked at some pick swaps. Jarrod is contracted to our club for the next three years.
"We made a commitment to him quite a long time ago, and he won't be considered in any of this."
Brander made his debut in the Eagles' round 13 loss to Sydney at the SCG when he replaced injured forward Jack Darling, and could be a future replacement for 31-year-old spearhead Josh Kennedy.
The 19-year-old also played key defence for East Perth in the latter stages of the WAFL season.
West Coast is scrambling to come up with a deal to tempt the Cats to trade Kelly before Wednesday's 8.30pm AEDT deadline.

The South Fremantle product is contracted for 2019 and Geelong is reportedly demanding a top-10 pick after Kelly finished equal-second in the club champion award in his first season.
The Eagles currently hold picks 20 and 22 in the upcoming draft, and might need to package those selections to move up the draft board.
"We've got a bit of work to do with Geelong," Vozzo said.
"They haven't actually told us (what they want) other than what we've read in the paper."
Kelly, who wants to return home for family support for his partner and three young boys, is the Eagles' only trade target after they secured St Kilda big man Tom Hickey to replace ruckman Scott Lycett.

West Coast's premiership-winning list is mostly settled after restricted free agent Andrew Gaff turned down North Melbourne's monster offer, although veteran Mark LeCras' future remains up in the air.
The 32-year-old hasn't ruled out playing on next year, and Vozzo indicated the decision was largely in LeCras' hands.
"He's been with our club for many years and been a wonderful contributor, culminating in that premiership," Vozzo said.
"He's recently had some surgery on his wrist. He played the back half of the season under a fair bit of duress, so we'll sit down with Mark in the next week or two and he'll have a major say on what he wants to do moving forward."
