PORT Adelaide has warmed up for this week's preliminary final clash with Richmond with a willing training session on Wednesday ahead of what the Power expect to be a "fiery" night at Adelaide Oval.
FINALS PREDICTOR Who will win the 2020 premiership?
The Power will face off in their first preliminary final since 2014 after their top-of-the-ladder season as they look to book a Grand Final spot in Friday night's meeting with the reigning premiers.
Assistant coach Michael Voss said the Power was readying itself for the physical and aggressive Richmond unit by lifting the intensity on the track after having last week off following their qualifying final victory over Geelong.
"[It's] full noise today. We've had a period where we've regenerated last week and used the opportunity for those purposes. It's been a long season and the schedule's been quite tight and big for everyone, so we took the opportunity to be able to do that," Voss said.
"But today, with just a few days out from a very big game, it's time to put the competitive heads on and make sure we're in the right mindset, but we're also physically in a great space as well."
Richmond was at its hard-hitting, competitive best last week against the Saints, with key forward Tom Lynch returning in aggressive fashion.
Voss said the younger Power group, which is short in finals experience in comparison, would be ready for the Tigers' tenacity.
BROWNLOW PREDICTOR Every round, all the votes
"We would expect nothing else from Richmond. They're a seasoned group, they've been here before, they've got a style they’ve committed to for the better part of four years and it's been really effective for them," he said.
"For us, we've evolved in that space and we've also become really reliable in that area. We expect there's going to be a fiery clash and the contest will be really strong.
"That's what finals are all about. We'll get our turn, but we're also going to have to absorb at times as well."
Xavier Duursma (concussion) has been cleared to play, while Voss said key forward Todd Marshall is also expected to line up after suffering a shoulder injury against Geelong.
THE FULL INJURY LIST Who is racing the clock?
"Over the last week and a half he's presented really well, so [training on Wednesday is] a really last tick-off for us," Voss said of Marshall.
"It will be a pretty willing session out there so he'll get a good test, [but] if he gets through it I would have thought he'd be well and truly confirmed."
