MARK Thompson has denied involvement in criminal activity after becoming embroiled in a drug-trafficking investigation.
The AFL great was questioned by police this week after his Port Melbourne property was raided as part of an investigation that saw three people charged with drug trafficking.
Thompson presented himself to police and was released without charge on Tuesday, but a man with alleged links to a bikie gang, who was reported to be living in Thompson's home, was charged.
"What a bizarre week. I think they realised that I'm not in the gang," Thompson told News Corp.
Thompson, who coached Geelong to premierships in 2007 and 2009, said the man with alleged bikie links had lived at his property "on and off".
"They just moved in, you just can’t get rid of them," he said.
"He just comes in when he wants. He just used to ... do whatever he wanted."
Meanwhile, Fox Footy has confirmed Thompson had quit his commitments after appearing in the regular 'Bomber Diaries' segment on AFL 360.
Along with his two premierships coached at the Cats, Thompson, 54, played in Essendon's 1984, 1985 and 1993 flags.
He was fined $30,000 for his role in the Bombers' supplements scandal which saw 34 past and present players suspended for the 2016 season.
